When Running Becomes a Symbol of Rebirth
At 30 years old, Elliot embodies resilience in its purest form.
Born with cystic fibrosis, a rare genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, he spent years living with physical limitations that many would have considered insurmountable.
“Until 2020, my health was severely deteriorated: 35% lung capacity, 50 kilos, and no effective treatment. My life expectancy was uncertain.”
In the middle of the pandemic, a revolutionary American treatment, temporarily approved for use in France, completely changed his life.
As the first patient in Rennes to receive it, Elliot saw his lung capacity rise to 65–70%.
“A real rebirth,” he says simply.
A Bold Challenge: The Paris Marathon
To symbolize this return to life, Elliot set himself a challenge few would dare to imagine: running the 2024 Paris Marathon.
“For me, someone who could barely run a few minutes without being out of breath, it was an insane idea. The marathon meant so much more than just a race — it represented breath and resilience.”
He began sharing his journey on Instagram under the name @elliot_secondsouffle — “second breath,” a nod both to his second chance and to the rhythm of every runner’s stride.
Through his posts, he documented every step, every doubt, every milestone until that unforgettable day when he crossed the finish line.
“It was indescribable. A mix of pride, emotion, and gratitude.”

Discovering Ochy: Understanding the Body, Progressing, and Preventing Injury
After the marathon, Elliot hesitated. Should he continue running or stop on that symbolic victory?
Eventually, he decided to keep going, but with a clear goal: to progress and better understand his running form.
That’s when he discovered Ochy, a Rennes-based company specializing in AI-powered biomechanical analysis.
“Their approach really helped me correct my imbalances and improve my running, especially my posture and technique.”
With Ochy, Elliot can visualize and adjust his movements, identify weak points, and fine-tune his technique to prevent injuries and boost performance efficiency.

From Runner to Ochy Ambassador
Impressed by Ochy’s scientific yet human approach, Elliot naturally became an ambassador for the brand.
“It just made sense. I’m proud to work with a local company whose values I share.”
Through his content, he shares his analyses, progress, and encourages other runners to try Ochy to discover their own way of moving.
With more than 1,500 followers, his message resonates deeply: performance isn’t just about time, it’s about self-knowledge and rediscovering joy in movement.
Breathing Toward the Future
Since completing his marathon, Elliot hasn’t stopped.
He has run the “Trail du Bout du Monde” (57 km in Brittany), is preparing for the 24 Hours of Plœren, an endurance event where the goal is to keep running for 24 hours and already has his eyes set on the Rome Marathon in April.
And that’s not all. Elliot also plans to launch his own podcast, where he’ll share his thoughts on sport, health, and resilience.

A Story of Breath, Science, and Hope
Elliot’s journey is the story of a body that many thought was broken, and a spirit that refused to give up.
Through running, technology, and determination, he reminds us that movement is more than effort. It’s freedom.
“From a sick body to a runner capable of finishing 42 km, Ochy helped me understand my stride, improve my running, and believe in myself even more.”
